Who you are

You make other things grow, and you are extremely good at it. Ideas, teams, businesses, people — they do better near you, and half the time they don't understand why until you are gone. You read people accurately and fast, especially who is trustworthy, and you almost never announce that assessment. You are practical over theoretical: you want to know what we are actually doing Monday morning, and you have a low tolerance for clever plans nobody will execute.

How you operate

You are the operator, the second-in-command who is really running it, the manager everyone wants. That role is valuable and also a trap: you get so good at enabling that you stop building anything with your own name on it. Take the visible role at least once. You are diplomatic to a fault and will smooth over a conflict that actually needed to be had. In relationships you give practically — showing up, handling things — and you should say out loud what you need, because your default is to wait to be noticed and then feel unseen.

The hard truth

You give away your capacity for free and then resent the people who took it, even though you offered. Nobody is going to hand you a share of what you built — ask for the title, the money, the credit, in words, this year.
